Valentine's Day

Music takes up where words (and chocolate) fail.  May your Valentine's Day sing to you and your loved one.

Mozart concert at local area college

This all Mozart concert was played by the Irving Symphony at Mountain View College in Dallas.  The program consisted of the Overture from Mozart's opera, "The Marriage of Figaro", and Mozart's 39th Symphony.  Two of his greatest masterpieces.  I am sitting just to the right of the conductor in this concert.

Merry Christmas and Blessed Winter Solstice

I wish all my listeners and fans a very Merry Christmas.  I hope this weekend is blessed for you and all those whom you are close to.

The below photo is one I took of a sunset over Joe Pool Lake on December 22, day of winter solstice.  This was taken with a cell phone camera.

Music Tour from 1972

I graduated from high school in 1972.  That summer, I took a tour of Europe and played in 3 cities with a chamber orchestra comprised mostly of other talented high school students.  I recently found a bunch of old "slide" photos that I had taken during that trip.  I had them scanned, and you can browse them on Picasa by clicking HERE.
