Our New Violin Romance Recordings Web Site....MoodMusic! And our new CD release, "Call of the Muse".

Our new updated web site launched on Thanksgiving Day! I am thrilled by the new sophisticated, sensual look of the site, which reflects the sound and mood of our music.

I’m especially excited by all the new audio features. Our visitors can now hear selected previews of every audio track of every CD. We also have a music player box on the Violin Radio Page, which allows our web site guests to hear 12 complete Violin Romance CD tracks in their entirety!

These audio features allow you to thoroughly sample our quality before making a CD purchase.

As with any new invention, I am sure we will be making changes and adaptations to our new site, as we learn what works, as well as what doesn’t work, to favorably engage our visitors. I invite our visitors to send us feedback via our Contact Page. What do you like about the site? What do you NOT like? We welcome any recommendations for improvement! I thank you in advance.

Release of “Call of the Muse”…

The launch of our web site coincides with the new release of our 8th CD recording, “Call of the Muse: Spirit Chants for Solo Violin”. This CD was inspired by the Native American flute player, Carlos Nakai, whom I discovered when I heard a one of his recordings playing in a gift shop in Durango, CO one summer when I was in the area playing a music festival.

“Call of the Muse” is different from all my previous CD’s. It features solo unaccompanied violin, without instrumental back up. Also, the performances on the CD are spontaneously improvised with minimal planning, allowing me to play totally by inspiration and from my feeling in the moment. This approach resulted in the creation of deeply haunting soulful prayer chants, coming straight from the Heart-both human and divine.

5 of the tracks on this CD were recorded in a lake house overlooking a private lake in East Texas. The side of the house facing the lake was all framed glass. I was able to perform while looking out at the sparkling calm water of a small lake canopied by trees, and the inspiration I felt is reflected in the music.

It is my intention to post a new blog entry at least once a week. I’ll be chatting about such things as my current musical projects, upcoming performances, philosophy of music, favorite musical performers, and more. Check back in often to read the blog, as well as to enjoy the music!

And if you find you are drawn to, and moved by my music, please consider purchasing one or more of our beautifully packaged romantic CD’s for yourself, or for a loved one.
